Our Team Just Grew.. Meet Britt, our new Designer Success Manager!

We’re thrilled to welcome Britt to the Thangs team as our new Designer Success Manager.

We’re thrilled to welcome Britt to the Thangs team as our new Designer Success Manager. Britt brings creativity, curiosity, and a strong commitment to supporting designers and their work — and she’s got plenty of passion for 3D printing herself.

From Cosplay to 3D Printing

Britt first discovered 3D printing through cosplay. “I came up with this equation in my head that I would make the bulk of cosplays with EVA foam (thanks, EvilTedSmith), and I wanted to resin print the finer details (thanks, UncleJessy),” she shared. Her very first print was a lightsaber stand — and she still has it to this day.

When asked to describe herself in three words as a Designer Success Manager, Britt didn’t hesitate: “Resourceful, Creative, Curious.”

Why Thangs?

What excites Britt most about joining Thangs is the opportunity to help artists and designers share their work with the world. “I believe in the power of art and music and their ability to help us heal ourselves, connect with one another, and grow into better humans,” she explained. “It is an honor to help others make the best art they can to put out into the world.”

A Vision for the Community

She also shared that her vision for the community at Thangs is to “to preserve what the community already has and build on that. One thing I loved so much about 3D printing when I first started was everyone’s willingness to help others. I hope to keep that tradition going strong and to also help safeguard the well-being of artists and designers. The world is not always a nice place for creative people — so, I will do what I can to help build them a better space for themselves and reinforce a culture where artists look out for one another.”

Before joining Thangs, Britt worked as an art director — and before that, she spent years as a paramedic.

Britt will be working with designers one on one to help ensure their success, collect their feedback, and understand how Thangs can better support them. She’ll also be hosting regular sessions where designers can connect with each other, celebrate their wins, share what they’ve learned about 3D printing and design, and help each other grow. We’re excited for her to bring her creativity, determination, and tenacity to the Thangs community.

Some Fun Facts!

If Britt could print anything with unlimited materials, she would print everything she possibly could for schools and teachers because “all children deserve high-quality education, and teachers shouldn’t have to provide supplies out of their own pockets — they already give us so much.”

She also shared that her birthday is April 1st… Seriously.

When it comes to the classic cats or dogs debate, Britt leans toward dogs — admitting she’s “too much like a cat to ever live with one.”

We’re so glad to officially welcome Britt to the team — many of you have already connected with her in the community, and we’re excited for all the great things ahead!
