Tanjiro’s Print-in-Place Collapsing Katana Print-in-Place Version

This version of the sword prints complete all as one piece.

The Single Color and the Multi-Color Single Extruder Replaceable Blade Versions are available to my Thangs members.

Printing Supports are not required, for best results use a .4mm nozzle. Find detailed instructions on how to print collapsing swords on my website. If this is your first time printing, I would suggest you try the test print first.

Printed on the Muldex rep-rap IDEX printer.

this is AWSOME I couldn't print in color so I printed it in white PLA and it still looked really good 10/10 on the design I love how satisfying it is with the collapsing feature and it was very very easy to assemble witch added points to it all of your designs are beautiful. good job

Hate to question this but are your instructions correct for the vase mode printing? In the instructions it says to set the line width to 0.90mm, but further in your instructions you mention if they do not stick, to bump the line with UP to 0.2. Wouldn't that be bumping it down if I am going from 0.9 to 0.2? Did you mean to set your line width to 0.09 at first?

Printing with a .9mm wall in vase mode should result in the blades overlapping roughly 50mm. If you want more overlap, to made the blade shorter and stronger then you would increase the wall thickness slightly. I would say .02mm (not .2mm) would change the length roughly 5-10mm in length.

I would find the test print and tune your settings to get the smallest seam possible. See the trouble shooting guide for more info.

try printing the test print first i normally just adjust the size afterwards and try again and it seems to work https://thangs.com/designer/3dprintingworld/3d-model/Katana%20Test%20Print-22695
