Rahm Kota's Collapsing Lightsaber
Rahm Kota's Collapsing Lightsaber Multi-Part Version
This version of the lightsaber has been broken into different parts so they can be printed separately in different colors then glued together. There are locators for all the parts. The cap is screwed on so the blades can be printed separately then inserted or replaced.
There are two versions of the grip, one version has built in supports and is designed to be printed at a .2mm layer height. None of the other parts require supports, for best results use a .4mm nozzle. You can print the blades all at once concentrically or one at a time in vase mode. Find detailed instructions on how to print collapsing swords on my website.
Assembled with Starbond Medium CA Glue (aff.)
Printed on the Prusa XL(aff.) with Polymaker Metallic Pro PLA and Matterhackers Build Series PETG Transparent Green

Looks like another winner to download and print. Can't wait. As I looked at pics of his saber, I see that the brown part is always as cloth tied around the saber with two pieces hanging down. It would have been cool to see that implemented in the brown piece in some way. Like if when printed the two ribbon type pieces would print up from the build plate, and then when placed on the sword they would be coming down the hilt / handle.
