Kaz the mini kazoo!
- Easy to play instrument
- Reuses plastic grocery bags
- Simple one-step assembly
- No tuning required
Kaz was created to make musical creativity more accessible. As a kazoo, Kaz is a simple instrument that almost anyone can play! It took me 21 tries to get the design just right!
Kaz is designed for easy assembly, quick print time, and reliable sound quality. To make your own Kaz you'll need to print a body and a collar (or trumpet). You'll also need a plastic grocery bag from that stash you have saved :)
All available models are included in purchase.
Disclaimer: The models are designated as "soprano", "alto", and "bass". These terms are used exclusively to reference the size and shape of the model, not the sound quality. The "soprano" and "bass" models have identical range due to the nature of how kazoos are played.
Assembly: Assembly Video Tighten your plastic bag across the trapezoidal hole in your Kaz. Snap your collar (or trumpet) into the hole, securing the plastic film in place. Give it a hum to see if the sound is what you are looking for. You can remove the cap and try as many times as you need to. I get the best buzz when my plastic film is a bit looser. After the collar is secure, you can simply tear the extra plastic off. Your new instrument is ready to play!
The regular collar model is perfect for standard kazoo sound. The trumpets are a collar alternative that may increase the volume of your kazoo.
