E3D Heatsink 40mm fan assembly

After trying some of the 40mm shrouds available, I decided to design one for my own needs.

• Full access to the hot end. I do change nozzles often and don't want to remove the shroud each time.
• To be printed in polycarbonate or ABS. I got issues with other versions in these materials. Walls to thick to flex without damage. This one does it. No issues after several removal/installing actions.

Made to cut M3 thread in the holes. Or you'll need a drill to size it for M3.

The shroud is asymmetrical. Highest end should be on top.

Print Version from the pictures has been printed in ABS (next one will be in PC)
Nozzle 0,6mm, layer 0,32, support needed. I've printed it with the fan side on the bed.
