1:144 Albatros B.I (Benz)
This is a paintable 1:144 scale model of an Albatros B.I. Since many painters choose their own mounting system, no peg is included on the plane. Pegs can be purchased separately in the Accessories section of this catalog. This is the version with the 150hp Benz Bz.II engine. There is also a version with a Mercedes engine.
The Albatros B.I was the most common German two-seater at the front in the first half of 1915. Albatros B.I's were used from early in the war through the end of 1915, by the German, Bavarian, and Austro-Hungarian air services, with a peak of 157 at the front in April 1915. Austria-Hungary purchased thirty-one Albatros B.I (designated Series 21) directly from Germany. They served with six Fliks on the Russian Front until autumn 1915 when they were withdrawn to training duties.
