1:144 Sablatnig N.I
This is a 1:144 scale model of a German Sablatnig N.I night bomber. Since many painters choose their own mounting system, no peg is included on the plane. Pegs can be purchased separately in the Accessories section of this catalog.
From the analysis of orders and serial numbers, it appears that an order for fifty Sablatnig C.I two seaters was modified after the first five were completed and the rest were finished as the night bomber Sablatnig N.I. Servo tabs were added to the top wing to reduce pilot fatigue, and the landing lights of the C.I were moved to the bottom wing. Skids on the lower wings helped reduce damage during tricky night landings. They served in ones and twos in various two-seater units, performing night bombing duties without a lot of fanfare. Like the A.E.G. N.I, they were never found in large numbers, as the Germans seemed to prefer twin-engine night bombers like the A.E.G. G types, Friedrichshafens, and Gothas.
