1:144 Rumpler C.Ia
This is a 1:144 scale model of a German Rumpler C.Ia two-seater. Since many painters choose their own mounting system, no peg is included on the plane. Pegs can be purchased separately in the Accessories section of this catalog.
Hannover built a version of the successful Rumpler C.I as the Rumpler C.Ia. The C.Ia featured an 180hp Argus As.III engine (replacing the conventional 160hp Mercedes D.III), modified exhaust, and the pilot's machine gun was moved to the right side of the fuselage. While the Argus engine gave improved speed at low altitudes, it was less reliable and provided less speed at altitude. The C.Ia was used mostly on the Eastern Front. Though small numbers of them were tested in winter of 1917, its numbers peaked in mid-1917 when 162 were at the front. Around 375 of them were ordered.
