DESIGN DESCRIPTION 🎲
When Nick released his D20 last month, it became pretty clear right away — clicky dice are very much a thing.
He was already planning a full Clicky Dice Series, but after the D20 launched, the requests started pouring in. So many people asked about completing the set that he decided to bump it up on the priority list — and now, the D12 is ready to go!
It’s a little smaller than the D20, includes caps numbered 1–12, and there’s even a rounded cap if you’re more into that smooth, clicky ball feel. Whether you're into fidgeting, collecting, or just like shiny, clicky things, this one’s a fun little addition. 🎲
This pack contains 1 unique base designs and 12 cap designs. There is no keychain option for this design. You need 12 bases, 20 hubs, 12 clickers and 12 caps to complete this design. There are two types of Hubs, one that is tapered and one that is not. The tapered one may be easier to install but the non-tapered one might hold better. There are also two types of bases to account for printer tolerances. If your printer is good at handling tight tolerances, use the Tight base. If your printer cannot handle tight tolerances, the standard version is for you. Note that some filaments may over/under extrude which could impact assembly. Due to tester feedback, two options for the bases were included. The standard base (Style B) has the caps sit the exact same height as the D20 but may be perceived as sitting higher because there are fewer sides on the D12. To fix this, a taller base (Style A) was created to make the caps appear to sit a litter further inside of the D12. Either style A/B will assemble correctly as long as you print the corresponding hub styles to match the base.
CLICKER INFORMATIONℹ️
Like most of my designs, this is a clicky design that requires a mechanical keyboard switch to make the clicky part. These models feature a universal base design which has been tested with many keyboard switches and 99% of them work! I have an up to date list of verified clickers with links you can find HERE. This design should be compatible with most MX style keyboard switches, however, the two metal contacts on the bottom of the switch must be clipped off flush (or folded over) to ensure the switch seats properly in the base (this is a destructive process).

3D PRINT SETTINGS⚙️
Layer Height: 0.2mm (recommended) External Perimeter: 0.33mm (recommended) Scale: 100% (Everything is modeled with tight tolerances and should not need to be resized) Orientation: Print the caps face down so you have a smooth surface for clicking! (recommended)
Note: I've found the best way to get the most crisp details on these clickers is to start with the smallest details first and work up from there. Here is the order I recommend after LOTS of trial and error:
- Small Detail (Numbers)
- Everything Else (Base Colors)
⚠️WARNING⚠️ - This pack requires very good bed adhesion to ensure the best possible results for your finished clicker. It is recommended to clean your bed with soap and water before printing or whatever your specific printer manufacturer recommends for a deep bed clean!
