Hero Me 4010 Dual Fan Duct with Improved Nozzle Visibility

Hero Me 4010 Dual Fan Duct with Improved Nozzle Visibility

Please note this is only the 4010 dual fan duct and not the full collection of parts.

This is a remix of Mediaman`s excellent Hero Me Fan Duct Design. Many thanks Mediaman for creating the thing. I have found it really does improve prints, particularly with larger nozzle printing.

I did have some issue with thin walls when attempting to import the Tinkercad OBJ files (countersinks walls around part fan fixing holes) so I have created from scratch in Fusion 360.

In this remix I have:

1.Raised the connecting cross bar to allow a much clearer view of the nozzle.

2.Redesigned the duct outer shell so the thing now prints without supports.

3.Tweaked fixing and location boss to make a little more robust.

4.Revised part fan fixing counter sink holes to remove the thin wall issue.

Printing:

1.Printed without supports, you may wish to insert a single custom support at the centre of cross rail to help bridging(see uploaded image) but prints OK without.

2.All prototypes printed fine without a raft but this should be considered if you do not have great bed adhesion.

3.Printed with Black PETG, 0.2 res, 30% infill with 3 perimeters.

Apologies in advance if there is a similar remix I have not spotted. I have not checked this thing against all the other Hero Me accessories. I do not use any form of levelling sensor, my main aim was to increase nozzle visibility.
