Collapsing Excalibur Replaceable Blade Multi-Part Version

This is a collapsing version of King Authur’s famed sword Excalibur from the 80’s movie. The pommel is removable so you can print the blades separately and replace them. To remove the pommel, you just unthread one side which will unclamp the pommel from the handle. The guard prints separately and glues on, so you don’t need supports. I used Starbond Medium CA Glue (aff.) I would also use helper disc or a brim to keep it stable while printing. I did use supports for the underside of the pommel. It may print ok without supports but I don’t think the pommel will fit together as cleanly.

Use a .4mm nozzle for the blades for best results. You can print the blades all at once concentrically or one at a time in vase mode. Find detailed instructions on how to print collapsing swords on my website.
