One of the top requested business and marketing advice we hear is how to scale once you’ve hit your sweet spot for design.

This presentation goes over some patterns that I’ve seen successful designers use to apply “leverage” in their businesses to get time back and break free from burnout and hustle culture.

❤️ Mental Health Reminder: Occasionally I hear from people that they take offense when when I talk about what “top creators” do, and while it’s true that Top Creators like MrBeast or start up founders do in fact work insanely long hours, that’s a path they choose in life willingly. However, that doesn’t mean that it’s the only way to succeed in scaling your business. Everyone here (Team Discord 🦾 ) is on their own journey, and for mental health, I want you all to know that you’re amazing human beings. Please take joy in learning and celebrate your own path in life. I will always support you. In summary:

The truth is that many artists don’t charge enough money. This means that they end up in a situation where they can’t hire enough helpers or invest in automation for their business. As a result, they end up doing all the work alone or with their family.

While Commissions are one way to charge more, it still is trading time for money rather than using leverage. In this video, I also talk about Print on Demand as a viable solution to add an additional revenue stream for your business.

While I don’t think folks should copy the businesses below verbatim, as it’s recommended to be authentic with yourself, here’s some good examples of businesses using print on demand to scale themselves:

Whether you are full time or part time, I hope this video will help someone out there who might be “plateauing” and wants to grow business the right way. Creating an art business is not easy, but if you can master the art of scaling, you’ll be able to make more art, have more fun, and earn more money without getting super burned out.
