1:144 Hansa-Brandenburg C.I (UFAG Series 68)
This is a paintable 1:144 scale model of a Hansa-Brandenburg C.I Series 68, built by Ungarische Flugzeugwerke A.G. (UFAG). Since many painters choose their own mounting system, no peg is included on the plane. Pegs can be purchased separately in the Accessories section of this catalog.
The ubiquitous Brandenburg C.I was originally developed by Hansa und Brandenburgische Flugzeugwerke AG, but even more of the planes were built by Phönix and UFAG. Eventually almost a quarter of all Austro-Hungarian planes built were Brandenburg C.I variants, with about 1,200 delivered. It was built in 20 different series by the three companies, with a wide variety of armament mounts, adjustments in proportions, radiator mounts, and engines. It was well-liked by its crews, with plenty of power, stable flight characteristics, and increasingly powerful engines.
Sixty-four Brandenburg C.Is Series 68 were built by UFAG with the 160hp Daimler engine. This model features a canister gun for the pilot, and the observer is armed with a pivoting Schwarzlose machine gun on a rail.
