3 Tier Pendant Lamp // Cylinder Zenith
3 simple prints nestle together to form this beautiful layered luminaire. This Cylinder Zenith variation features vertical ridges that stretch and morph the light in a magical fashion before reaching your eyes. This pendant light was designed to work with your 3D printer's strengths rather than challenging it, resulting in a clean and stunning showpiece.
Printing Guidelines
- Designed for printing in a clear/transparent filament. PETG/PET is a great choice as PLA may droop over time (testing in progress!)
- 300mm x 300mm x 220mm print volume required!
- Print in vase/spiral mode with 0.6mm extrusion width/line width (0.4-0.6mm nozzle)
- 1.2mm thick bottom shell thickness (up to 2mm supported)
- .16mm layer height
Assembly
Stack Part B onto Part A, and Part C onto Part B. Fasten the light fixture through Part A. (See included render in images). This light is designed for use with a cord set with a 40mm (1-5/8") thread for the lampshade-- I specifically used the IKEA HAVSRIS cord set, but it's a very standard size (here's another option on Amazon). Works well with a E27 LED lightbulb.
There is an optional TopCover included, which conceals the light socket itself. Align the 40mm hole with the hole on Part A and fasten them to the light fixture together.
*I've also added a 'noHole' version of part A, so those with a bit of technical modeling or slicer skills can add a custom sized hole for different bulb sockets.
Photographed model was printing with FormFutura rPET Clear on the Qidi Plus4 (Also on Amazon)

I printed this on my P1S, with a smaller print bed. I just scaled down the biggest piece and then cut the whole to be back to its original size. Looks good still. I would suggest another version of this modified to fit on the P1S bed. This would make others less familiar with modeling be able to print this !
Oh cool! What width did you have to scale down to? Maybe I'll give it a try :)
