DC 12V Power Adapter for Makita LxT Batteries
Here is a project to build a 12V power adapter, powered by Makita LxT 18V batteries.
All the components and modules fit into a 3D printed case. The 3D printed case consists of two parts, a battery plate and a case cover. The case is secured to the battery plate by four 3.5 x 15mm countersunk self-tapping screws.
Features • 12V 5A continuous • Undervoltage battery protection. • Current limiting above 6A. • Continuous digital display of voltage, current and wattage. • Progressive fan cooling as unit warms up. • Power efficiency: ~93% • Quiescent operating current: ~30mA • 12V banana sockets power delivery. • Utilises commonly available Makita 18V LxT batteries.
My print is made in Bambu Lab PLA Tough Gray filament, with 0.2mm layer height and 25% infill on a Bambu Lab X1 Carbon printer. Print supports are required.
I hope that you can find this print useful, too.
Remember to leave me some feedback or even a tip to keep me enthused to make more of these drawings.
