This was designed for use with a side/front mounted spool alongside a direct drive hotend. It uses a PTFE Collet as provided with the Micro Swiss Hot End, which pushes into the plastic and allows you to terminate the PTFE guide tube that goes to the hot end. This allows you to use the full Z height, which you lose with cables routed through the arch.
