This is a panel mount display bezel designed for two 8 Digit 7 Segment Display Modules using the MAX7219 controller. It includes a recess for a 65mm x 35mm x 3mm window (I used a piece of dark/smoked Perspex acrylic sheet). There are four mounting holes for each display module, designed for M3 screws (you only really need two screws in the diagonally opposite corners of each display). The LED displays clamp the window in place (don't overtighten the screws, they should just be snug to the PCB).

The parts I used were:

  • 2x 8 Digit 7 Segment LED Display Modules MAX7219
  • Smoked perspex sheet 65mm x 35mm x 3mm
  • 8x screws M3 x 8 socket headed button screws

Clean out the holes with an 2.5mm drill bit, and the M3 screws should self tap into the holes fairly easily.

Here's a link to the display modules I used: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07CKSKNGW

The LED modules are about 82mm long, 15mm wide and the mounting holes are about 76.5mm x 9mm apart, and about 3.6mm diameter. The LED display is not central on the PCB, and the gap from the LED module to each end of the PCB is about 12.6mm at the left side and 9mm at the right side.
