Low profile side clamps for the mill, inspired by Quinn Dunki (Blondihacks) and her video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5pW4PDv6JU, but adapted to metric measures. I made them of mild steel S355.

The locking screws are M10x20 grub screws (ISO 4026). It may be necessary to turn the end of these down to 8.5 mm, if the threads in the corresponding holes of the clamp are not tapped completely to the ends. The mounting screw is an M8 flat head hex socket screw (DIN 7984). A length of 25 mm matches the T-slots in my mill table perfectly. You will need M8 T-nuts matching the slots in your mill table. My mill has 12mm T-slots. Since 12mm/M8 T-nuts are not standard, I made them myself.

Enclosed files are

  • .stl for displaying the part on Thangs
  • .FCStd is the FreeCAD file
  • .step is the part exported in STEP format
  • .pdf is a drawing of the part (doesn't show the clearance at the bottom of the two wings)
