Magnetic Numerical Counter - Game - Played atound with a embossed endcap dial instead of a plain endcap, love the results this thing works right off the printer. Magnet holes are tight but i drilled them out and a friction fit alone is able to keep the magnets in place. YMMV - 3d model
Magnetic Numerical Counter - Game - Inside edges, a little cleanup on yhe negative side of the middle pieces goes a long way to a smooth operation - 3d model

Inspired by Devan Metz design, my own take on a simple counter using fewer magnets and a satisfying detent locking design.

After printing a sample I was pleased to see the operation is smoother than I would have even anticipated. A few points to be aware of. I found the magnet holes were a little undersized. I drilled them up a hair and 10mm magnets friction fit so well no glue was needed. If you dont have a proper sized bit you might wanna consider the hole size for your application and change in model, i didnt change it because it is easier to me to remove material than add it after the fact. YMMV. I also clreaned out the concave detents a little and that improved the smoothness further.
