Prints without support!

Features: 
- Works in tandem with my (upcoming) stuff
- Has sturdy mounting Points with large surface layer contact.
- Type A & B need to be alternated for a full horizontal/vertical row (checker pattern)
- Various inserts are avaible, but not needed. 
- Colour effects can be achieved without a multimaterial printer by introducing a manual layer switch and printing the inserts seperate. (mine is set about 55mm ish)

 Breaking my white background consistency here, Pen (Cil) Case - no support, multi colour print in parts - 

8 pcs M3x10 mm (hex) 2 pcs Magnet D5x10 mm 

*Follow order (important): Install(4x M3) Bumpers (grey) to the pen tray - Install Lid and Case and check if everything lines up (check underside) - Insert Grill into bumper and (2 x M3), This takes some force (extra tolerance file avaible) - Install Lid (2 x M3) and Magnets 4 x (D5 x 2 mm) - Insert Pens 

*Overall the tolerances are tight, as they should be :-) 

*If magnet dont go in, you can use a flat surface like table - Overall should work without magnets 

*Print orientation - See Picture

Here I present Wallie (var). Yes, I know... yet another wallet. Anyway, here I am building a little further on the Wallie platform while changing some of its core features. It adds and improves features, with 3 skins available right out of the box. 

It sports the following changes: 

The lever pivot was relocated for a longer draw length of the cards, drastically improving the presentation height. 

Hardware changed to M3 Hex bolts (more widely available, easier to install) - (M3 Hex - total bolt system length 10.8 mm).

Presenting Ace - A mechanical dimming desk lamp that shines in your face a bit. Sometimes, when figuring out what you want, just trying the thing works best. I could not get my desk lamp idea past the sketching phase, so here is me testing some ideas. This is pretty much just a prototype where you see me figuring out what I do and don't like as I explore different directions. While I'm working on a new version, I thought this one looks cool enough to share.

-Bambu Lab Lamp Kit or a generic 70 x 8 mm LED lamp puck.

Lunar Catch Crater: The crater Copernicus is one of the more dramatic craters; the center of Copernicus is about 93 kilometers across. 

i printed in 75% x and y scale

I butchered some NASA open-data for this model. The NASA 3D Resourses is a great website to visit, they host masive amount of data there, all open to the public. Those familiar with software like Civil3D or GIS can easily navigate and manipulate these datasets, as they mirror the ones commonly used in civil engineering applications on Earth. If you dont fancy nerding about the datasets, i highly recommend searching for website named NASA's EYES. Here, you'll find interactive viewers, such as a Google Earth-esque viewer of the Martian surface.

 *This model is rendered with a 3x vertical exaggeration and then i put it in a dish lol.

Lunar Catch Crater (catch tray?)

My projects often revolve around solving niche problems i have. I typically use pill organizers for my supplements, but missing a few days isn't a huge concern. Yet, the constant reminders from these boxes showing me i missed some days makes me feel bad. So here is my roll with a pill/supplement dispenser. Now, I can simply open my cabinet door, grab a pod, and be on my way. 

You can see how it works on my insta/printables ( i can't seem to figure out how to add a video/giff to this lol)

All of my projects that can contribute to health or nature will be free. 

Notes: 

- No support needed 
- The gap in the dispenser is wide enough to fit a bit from a cordless drill/screwdriver
- Alternatively sticky tape can be used to mount the dispenser 
- Pod and Pod cap should be printed with the opening pointing to the sky 
- In my case, my partner has other supplements needs, i use the color caps as a indicated whos who

Drawing inspiration from my favorite sci-fi games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Starfield, I designed a watch display box, designed to house timepieces and rings. (it holds my important bits n bops)


Personal project, sharing the project was a idea that came later so that might reflect in the files, dont be afraid to ask for help!
Tools Needed: Superglue (magnets) & Flathead screwdriver (when using bolts like mine, hex also possible)
Bolts, Nuts and magnets (Quantities and Types):
Cylinder Head Bolts (4x40): 14 pieces 
Cylinder Head Bolts (5x10): 10 pieces 
Counter Sink Bolts (4x20): 8 pieces 
Cylinder Head Bolts (5x30): 6 pieces 
M5 Nut End Caps: 6 pieces 
5x2 Magnet cells: 20 pieces (when making the config. as shown
Additional notes:
Tolerances: The tolerances are tailored to my specific 3D printer and settings, so your results may vary depending on your equipment and configurations.
Assembly Options: While the design incorporates numerous bolts, many components can alternatively be secured with adhesive, offering flexibility in assembly.
Bolt Insertion Tips: If you encounter difficulty when inserting bolts, consider using a soldering iron to gently heat the bolt if it's too tight or use a drill to widen the hole slightly for a smoother fit. When the holes are to big, you can insert glue-and-push-the-bolt-in.
Magnet insertion tips: if not snug enough, use more glue. If too snug, heat with lighter and gently press inwards. If it protrudes, heat and gently press aswell.
Non-Commercial Use: Please note that this design is intended for personal and non-commercial use only.
Nut and Bolt Compatibility: The design is optimized based on the nuts and bolts available to me; for best results, use similar hardware when assembling.
The inserts: only work in 1 or 2 position. Make sure you print the right one for the right corner.
On both sides of Clam files: There is room to Snap in a single line of filament.
Bolts screw directly into components: See last picture as example (needs a bit of force)

Many projects were just personal projects at the time; I did not expect this much love. Because of that, they can be complex to print and assemble, so keep that in mind before you print and read the additional notes in the description. Looking at the reviews and makes by others can also help you make that decision. 

Requirements:

4 x Rods with a diameter of 8 mm and a length of 195 mm (i used aluminium 8mm about 2 euros per meter at the local hardwarestore)

Filament of your choice for 3D printing (i used fiberlogy copper,gray and graphite PLA)

8 x Allen bolts (4x15 mm) (used for attaching the Handle/Grill File to the side plates)

12 x Allen bolts (4x10 mm) (used for securing the rods in a fixed position, used in side plate and the locking Wing file)

4 x Allen bolts (5x20 mm) (used for attaching clips)

4 x Hex nuts (M5) (used for attaching clips)

superglue (used for attaching the option tray butt file, but this makes it no longer truly symmetric, and if needed to secure the Clam to the side plate but should pressure fit)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Things to note:

-The rods can be any material but I found the aluminium can be a bit oval, the sliding action needs perfect 8mm rods to slide nice and free.

-Sanding the contacting surfaces might be needed for smooth operation

-Heat can be used to press in place bolts and nuts if they don’t coorparate

-Handle and Grill file can be switched for a fully symmetric look

-print oriëntation(all need support): Shells should be printed with the lips pointing upwards, sides can be printen on their back, handle and grill on their back aswell (handle needs support under the bridge), wing lock should be printen like a arrow pointing upwards, the clips go on their side.

I have addes superglue to the list of needed materials and make small notes where what hardware goes)
Added additional note and picture about my suggested print orientation;
The tray butt is a optional file that needs to be glued in place, due to it not making the thing symmetric;
The Shell needs to be glued to side plate if your friction fit is not enough (mine does not use glue);

Here I present yet another storage contraption named TUBE. In this one, I challenged myself to create a mechanism without the use of any hardware. On my latest projects, I've received feedback about the complexity, and this is my response to that. Please read the additional notes below before you embark on printing the TUBE.

- Superglue (or any other glue) 
- Filament of your likeing 
Notes: 

- Print orientation: see picture with suggested orientation 
- The clam should be glued to caps 
- Cap consists out of 2 parts (not symmetric due to the threads) 
- Operation is sliding and screwing with the palm of the hand
- Printer used: Creality Ender-6
- Designed with Fusion360 
- Printed in: PLA, Fiberlogy Easy grey, Graphite, and Copper 
- 3 Walls, 8% Infill, 0,2 layer height, ''standard'' printer profile with wall speed upped to 60 support at >54° (standard zigzag support, no hassle)

Oh, might have let myself go a little bit on this one. After designing Wallie, I've had this idea lingering in my head for a bit. A bit much? A bit over-the-top? Maybe, but I sure had fun on this one.

It sports the following features:
- Easy use magnatic lever to keep the cards in place
- Action by pushing the cards upwards
- Bill of mats: 4x M3 Hex bolt (total bolt system lengt 10,8 mm) and (2x 5x2 mm magnet cell)
