This is a paintable 1:144 scale model of a Macchi L.2. Since many painters choose their own mounting system, no peg is included on the plane. Pegs can be purchased separately in the Accessories section of this catalog.
Just as Macchi had copied the Lohner T.I to create the Macchi L.1, they also obtained and copied a version of the lightened Lohner Tl, which they labeled the Macchi L.2. Like the L.1 and their Austro-Hungarian predecessors, both were high-quality flying boats and they gave good service until replaced with more advanced models.
