Zipper Pull Generator
๐ Customizable in Your Browser
This model requires specific measurements of your zipper. You can customize this design for free on the Lunar Prototypes website.
See below for more details.
Overview
Flexible TPU zipper pull that embeds your existing zipper tab for a stronger, easier-to-grab replacement grip.
Broken, tiny, or uncomfortable zipper pulls are annoying, especially on bags, jackets, cases, and gear that still work fine otherwise. This TPU zipper pull prints around the existing zipper tab, creating a flexible, grippy replacement without relying on glue, knots, or loose cord. Pause the print, drop the tab into the model, and let the final layers permanently capture it inside the pull.
Customization Instructions

Printing Tips
Printing Technology: FDM Layer Height: 0.2 mm Perimeters: 4 Infill: 10% Infill Pattern: Gyroid Recommended Material: TPU Supports: No Support Type: None
Notes:
- Designed to be printed with TPU, but may work with other materials
- I do not recommend printing this directly onto a zipper that still has something attached to it, but it is possible. Do so at your own risk.
Materials Needed
- 1x Zipper
Instructions:
Measure the zipper tab
Measure the metal zipper tab before generating the model. For oval holes: Zipper hole width: inside of the hole, side to side Zipper hole length: inside of the hole, top to bottom
For round holes, use the same value for zipper hole width and zipper hole length.
Measure zipper length from the bottom of the zipper hole down to where you want the embedded tab to end.
Measure zipper width at the lower end of that length. Leave enough room below the embedded tab for the pull hole in the printed TPU body. ย Print and embed the tab
Slice the model in TPU.
Add a pause before the pocket closes over the zipper tab.
Start the print.
At the pause, place the metal tab into the open pocket.
Make sure the tab sits flat and does not stick above the printed walls.
Resume the print and watch the first few moves to make sure the nozzle clears the tab. ย Reattach to the zipper
Let the print cool.
Reattach the metal tab to the zipper slider.
Close the slider loop carefully with pliers if needed.
