Pothos - Articulating Plant - Rainbow Pothos

This was a fun print and perfect for someone like me who has the opposite of a green thumb for real plants!

The first time I printed the branches, I used supports and brim but it was such a pain getting them cleaned up. This time I didn't use either and it printed just fine.

Leaves were printed on a Bambu X1C and the branches were printed on a Prusa MK4. - 3d model

Pothos - Articulating Plant

Another Articulating Plant! This one turned out really lifelike. Took me a couple dozen versions to get it right. I made it while surrounded by 3 real pothos plants to try and get it to look as realistic as possible. Put this in a hanging pot, and it will look awesome! Make sure to cover the base with dirt to get an even more realistic appearance.

If you sell 3D Prints, these plants are great for... A. Showing off your Plant pots B. Upselling people when they buy a plant pot C. Selling disassembled as "Kits" so people can build their own plant!

Filament Used: Eryone Matte Olive Green PLA (Amazon)

Assembly: (Assemble in this order for more realistic looking plants)

  1. Insert Base into pot
  2. Insert a few stems into the base holes
  3. Cover with Dirt, or something that resembles dirt
  4. Gently Fold and crease leaves, and insert into branches
  5. Snap a few Short Branches into the Stems
  6. Snap Long Branches into the Short Branches, repeat as many times as you want

Customizable:

This is a very customizable print. You can print out as many segements as you want to make a very large or very small plant. I have also included a few leaf types if you want to get fancy with multicolor printing

If you want, you can sell a smaller version by including fewer pieces, or large ones with more for a higher price. Or even sell them as kits, so customer can assemble them themselves!
