Model originally uploaded to Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4566177.
29\09\20 There is a newer version of this thing here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4609997
Edit 17\08\20: Just to confirm this will fit the Ender 3 V2 as well yet please note the V2 firmware does not appear to provide any refresh options in the firmware therefore currently you will have to switch off the machine and on again to refresh the card reader with no physical card insertion change and to get around the SD_DETECT_PIN issue..
Inspired by scottyujan`s recent remix and a request by a fellow member jasonhallcross for a USB socket cover. I have combine both these ideas and remixed my thing with a clippable USB cover with a snap off end so it can either be used as cover or side USB access without leaving a visually awkward hole.
I have uploaded 3 covers, Front Entry Cover as per the original and two full cover caps one blank and the other with a USB symbol. I have also included the front cover with either the Ender Logo or plain.
This thing uses the same original back plate but you will need to reprint the front cover.
I have also included some integral support for the 2 forward clips to aid printing. These require removal with side cutters prior to assembly (see uploaded image).
You may find due to the end modification that the end clip is a little stiffer which is probably not a bad thing.
The front cover prints vertically. I have not had any printing issues with this but it may require a raft if any warping occurs.
Printed on a CR10S and My HEVO @ 0.2 layer height with 25%-30% infill for the body parts and 100% for the Lids. I printed the lids @ 20mms. The housing and back plate @ 30mms.
Also check out scottyujan`s You Tube video, its good to see some new younger content creators. Boothy
