Gizmo Christmas Tree Decoration

This is a Gizmo Christmas Tree decoration. It's the lovely Gizmo from Gremlins with a Christmas hat. 
It's designed to be printed in different color changes to achieve the final result, if you want you can print it in one color and paint later.
This is the filament color change configuration if you print with 0.2mm layer:
0 to layer 5 (0 to 1mm) = Brown
6 to 9 (1.2 to 1.8mm) = Light Brown
10 to 13 (2 to 2.6mm) = White
14 to 17 (2.8 to 3.4mm) = Black
18 to 21 (3.6 to 4.2mm) = Red

Yeah, Another christmas Ball

**NOT TO BE SOLD**

**ABOUT THE DESIGN**
Yep, this is yet another variation on my Christmas Balls with Integrated Stems. You can't keep a good designer down. There's no photo because my prototype is still printing. Still, it's 80% done and the rest is identical to other prints I;'ve published, so I already know it should work. Give it a try. It's relatively easy to print. 

**RESIZING**
This ornament should scale up well, but I'm not sure how much smaller you could print it using a consumer FDM printer. Using a resin printer, you could probably print it much smaller.

**PRINT TIME**
About 6 hours

**PRINT SETTINGS**
The trickiest parts to print is the top of the stems. Using FDM, if you don't temp, speed, flow, and cooling right, the thin parts of the stem will melt as you print. Thinner walls help. If that's not enough, try increasing the layer height.

*Thickness*

* Layer thickness: .15 mm
* Wall thickness: 0.4 – 0.8 mm.

I had the best results using Cura setting the default width to 0.4 mm and adding custom settings for the main ball that printed it 0.8 mm thick. You can do this by adding a support blocker to the bottom and giving it custom settings of 0.4 mm. Cura adds the two and prints the area within the blocker at 0.8 mm.

*Infill*
These do not need any infill. JUST DON'T DO IT.

*Speed*
* Outer Wall: 35 mm/sec
* Inner Wall: 40 mm/sec
* Travel SpeeD: 60 mm/sec

*Build Plate Adhesion*
I used a brim. With the supports, you shouldn't need a raft.

*Supports*
You will probably need supports for both bed adhesion and the overhang on the first few layers. You shouldn't need supports for the loop at the top. Adding them would just increase the chances the supports broke and caused the print to fail. If you get supports inside the ball, just add a support blocker.

* Support Structure: Normal
* Support Placement: Touching Buildplate
* Support Overhang Angle: 60 Degrees

These are advanced prints that require a well calibrated printer and experience with slicing complex models. 

The bowls are printed upside down. I recommend raising the model 3mm off the build plate and building supports up into the cavity of the bowl.

In order to maximize optical clarity and visual effect, you will want to minimize the amount of infill. These are excellent prints to try out the “lightening infill” feature in Cura. “Lightening infill” minimizes the amount of infill material used, and also creates interesting “crack” silhouettes in the finished print.

Increase the infill density and reduce the angle of overhang that gets supported, aiming for adequate support at the base of the icicle, but minimal support up inside the icicles. Be sure to do a layer-by-layer inspection prior to printing to ensure that all areas are properly supported.

This coral model, belonging to the coral accessories collection, honours the Acropora palmata species.

In it you can leave your bracelets, pendants, rings and at the same time decorate your home by immersing it in an underwater atmosphere.
(Apart from jewellery you can leave your house keys, wallet...).

**3D PRINTING PARAMETERS**
The model consists of a single part that is scalable. You can increase its size to be able to store even other accessories.

I printed it with red matt PLA with 15% infill and 0,2 mm layer height.

This coral model, belonging to the coral accessories collection, honours the species Aplysina archeri.

In it you can keep your bracelets, pendants, rings and at the same time decorate your home by immersing it in an underwater atmosphere.
(Apart from jewellery you can even use it as a vase).

Porites furcata

This coral model, belonging to the coral collection for accessories, honours the species Porites furcata.

Honouring its family (finger coral), it is designed to store rings while decorating your home by immersing it in an underwater environment.

**3D PRINTING PARAMETERS**
The model consists of a single part that is scalable, although its size is correct for conventional rings.

I printed it with purple matte PLA with 15% infill and 0,16 mm layer height.

Candelarbol

**Candle holder in the shape of a Christmas tree.
**
Candelarbol (from candelabra and tree) is a minimalist design that grows in a spiral to form a Christmas tree illuminated by 6 candles.

Use this Christmas decoration to set the mood with its lights, as a centrepiece for your Christmas dinners or as a home decoration.

The candle holes are big enough to easily insert and remove candles with a diameter of 38 mm (typical candle size). LED or traditional candles can be used to illuminate the tree.

The height of the model is 230 mm so it is printable on almost any printer and uses only about 160 grams of plastic. Discover the star shape hidden underneath the candles!
