Osaka Manhole Coaster

There are so many underappreciated objects that have been painstakingly designed but tend to go unnoticed. Pay homage to the manmade world humbly designed to serve the people with these 3D printed treasures. The Manhole Project serves as a reminder to be curious and stay inspired!

This coaster depicts a manhole hidden in Osaka, Japan. Japan is already dedicated to beautifying their manhole covers with around 23,000 unique covers with fantastic designs that have been voted into existence. Bravo!

Bandsaw Table Insert

Agazzani makes high-quality industrial bandsaws in Italy. But when the table inserts (also called throat plates) get damaged or lost it can be hard to find replacement parts, especially dealing with international shipping.

Eagle Tools gave me an aluminum one and asked if I could make a replacement version in plastic. I told them I thought I could machine an aluminum version, but they said they'd prefer stiff plastic so if the blade nicks it the blade is not damaged. 

The original had M5 set screws for precisely adjusting the height/level from the top, so I tapped this to fit the same screws and they work perfectly.

I printed this in ASA, but I think would also work well in ABS, PETG, Nylon, TPU, or PLA.

Tronxy X5SA magnetic bed plate guide

Simple clip on bed corner guides for those who use magnetic sheet plate on Tronxy X5SA.

I will probably improve this in future to make it less moveable, it might shift when I am too violent in placing the spring steel sheet, but overall, it reduced my time aligning the sheet to the bed., I like to keep the design easy to print, simple to assemble and use. For now, this will do, and I hope for you too.

As usual, your mileage will vary, as printers come in all shapes and sizes, should be able to resize the model 1% to 5%? to get it to work on your print?

This Tea Set is modelled after a Royal Albert “Blossom Time” China set that has been in my family for years. I’ve used these models as starting points for several designs that you’ll find on my profile page. I also get a lot of requests for the raw files from people wanting to use them for their own Tea Set models and remixes.

So here you go! The files are printable as they are, but why not add your own creative twist? Add some texture? Emboss some text? Or remodel them completely!
