Ender 3 Ender 3 pro Pivoting Filament Oiler
Model originally uploaded to Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3795861.
Inspired by Technidyne`s oiler I have produced this thing to oil certain types of filament and for when I want to purge\clean the heating chamber. The pivot allows the bucket more movement when the X carriage is traversing.
1.The mounting bracket is easy to fix to the cross rail by removing the cross rail end caps and fixing with 2 x M4 x 20 mm bolts and 2 x M4 Tee Nuts. There is no need to remove the top cross rail.
2.The Oiler body is fixed to the mounting plate with 1 x 20 mm M4 bolt and a M4 Nyloc Nut. I also used a M4 washer as a bearing between the parts. I did not tighten the bolt fully so the assembly could pivot easily.
3.I intended this primarily as a temporary fix for when I was cleaning\purging but may work okay long term if your filament spool positioning suits.
Printed with Primavalue Orange PLA, 20% infill, 2 perimeters on an Ender 5.
