This drip hanger is designed for the Anycubic Photon Mono-X monochrome LCD resin printer. It is intended to be installed permanently (no need to put it on or take it off for printing or drip function). It allows one to print, then shift the build plate to the hanger for resin runoff into the vat prior to model removal.
One added benefit is the hanger acts as a guide to butt the build plate assembly against. My build plate assembly has enough play (rotation with the clamp knob) that it used to require manual alignment to get it straight prior to printing. This hanger prevents build plate twisting when tightening the knob.
