Door Jam Shim
I live in an old house, so one of the interior door jams has wandered away from the door to the point the mechanism doesn't latch anymore. I tried making a wood shim, but it was hard to cut the right holes. Further complicating things, numerous changes to the jam over the years have left the wood around where it latches in terrible shape. So, 3D printing to the rescue! This is a shim that is designed to sit between the latch plate and the door jam. It has holes to match the plate, and two more holes to screw it to the jam where it's not damaged. Now if you've got an old house with a mortise lock, there's a real chance that the holes for the plate will match, but I doubt you'll be that lucky with the jam side of the shim, so where this model is most likely to help anyone else out is to grab the .scad file and adjust the measurements to fit your door. I was not motivated enough to fully parameterize this for this quick fix.
