I designed this holder specifically for my three Woodpeckers Mini in-DEXABLES: the Double Square, Combo Square and Center Finder. Although I am a huge fan of Woodpeckers tools, the same could not be said for the Rack-Its included with these squares: first of all, I feel that over time the steel base will end up damaging the tool itself, the aluminum heads being especially vulnerable. Second, maybe due to the position I had them installed in, they were a bit fiddly to get in and out of, worsening my concerns of scratching. And last but not least, they also require quite some free space either on the right or the top, in order to place and retrieve the squares. So, I designed this holder instead. As always, my objectives were a minimal footprint and ease of use.

Some of the key features: -This orientation not only drastically reduces the total space needed on your wall, but also facilitates access considerably. Plus, no extra room is needed to place and retrieve the squares thanks to an oversized cutout for the blade that allows you to tilt the tool towards you on the way in and out.
-This, in addition to a precise fit and strategic length of support, make the squares very comfortable to grab when needed, while still remaining completely secure when not in use. Just leave at least 2 “clicks” on the blade below the base, and your tool is not going anywhere.
-Finally, you’re not going to put the Combo Square or the Center Finder up-side-down by mistake. But you could do so with the Double Square... So, there’s a small cutout on the right-hand side of each bay, avoiding any interference with the base itself, or the other squares. Likewise, all the bays are identical, so you can arrange your squares in any order you want.
-As to the screws: I designed this holder so you can use the ones that are included with the Rack-Its, and you also have a little bit of adjustability in case your holes don’t come out perfectly aligned. It’s also worth mentioning that they sit completely beneath the surface, ensuring your tools will never come into contact with them. Finally, they also are below all of the actual load, enhancing the solidity of the entire holder.
*In case you’re wondering about the protractor head: It has very different dimensions so I opted to leave it separate, and I’m using the included Rack-It for that particular head.

Versions for one and two squares are also in the works and should be available soon.

I also have a holder for 2 Standard in-DEXABLE squares available, and am working on versions for one and three squares as well.
