Holder for iGaging Stainless Steel Bench Squares

Purchase model for $3.42 USD
  • This product is a digital download of zipped STL files designed for 3D printing. No physical item will be shipped to you. You will also need two #6 flat head screws.

  • I designed this holder specifically for the iGaging Stainless Steel Bench Squares. By taking advantage of the central triangular cutout, the same holder is compatible with all four versions of this square (4" & 7" and 100 & 175 mm). As long as it's stainless steel, it will fit.

  • The shoulders of the squares do however have different sizes, depending on if they are SAE or metric, so I made 2 versions ensuring that there is always enough room to allow for either shoulder, i.e., either orientation of the square. I guess you could call it "reversible". So basically you can have the vertical side of the square either to the left or to the right.

A bit more detail: -Minimal footprint: very little additional space is needed to place and retrieve the square. -Very secure once it’s in place thanks to a precise fit and center of gravity. -The screws sit beneath the face of the holder. This, in addition to the 3d printed material, ensures your tool won't be scratched.

IMPORTANT NOTE Due to the aluminum version having a thicker blade, this holder is not compatible with that family of squares. Furthermore, I have not been able to find the specified thickness of said blade, but if someone were kind enough to let me know what it is, I would gladly make another version for the aluminum squares.

Printing tips: Orientation as is: flat side down and with the front of the model facing the front of the printer. Set seams to "rear" to hide them as much as possible on the face that we won't be seeing. 0.4mm nozzle and 0.2mm layer height. I used PLA with 15% infill. Feel free to modify materials and settings to your preference.
