If you have a multi-color printer:
- Add all the .stls as a single object with multiple parts
- Assign the correct filaments to each part
- Print and enjoy!
If you have a single-color printer:
This uses the technic shown in this video by Make Anything
- Extract the files in the “single color” .zip folder (these are what we'll be using)
- Prepare and print the “print1st dark color” file in your darker color
- Leave the print on the bed exactly where it's at
- Prepare and print the “print2nd light color” file in your lighter color (make sure to not print with supports or skirt/brim)
- If all went well, you should now have a dual color print
A few things to watch out for: z-hop shouldn't be an issue, but if it is make sure it's at least 0.6mm. The models have to print exactly aligned with each other, so make sure to not move them.
Since lighter colors are more see-through make sure to print the “light color" object in the lighter color.
