"Quick" connector vaccum hose adapter for Bosch PBS 75 AE 3 603 BA1 101 Belt sander
Continuation of my "Quick" connectors I went for the screw solution becuse my hose is (too) heavy, I think magnet or clips would break the connection fairly easy, and I wanted a easy solution with few parts and entirely 3D-printed. My vaccum hose is attached to a 3D-printed cyclone.
Why a split nut? I plan to make more adapters in the future and did not want to be constraied by the diameter of the hose and threads, I could make the hosecoupler bigger but I think that will make it unessesery bulky. This way I can add a bigger adapter then the size of the nut.
Prints are not oriented becuse depending on your printer, you have to orient them yourself. I printed everything standing on end. The thread part of the model do not need support, but the overhangs need some, I recomend painting support on.
I used regular PLA it works just fine, but I would recomend something stronger for prolonged use.
Assembly: Put the adapter part between the halfnuts, glue the 2 halfnuts together, be careful not to glue the adapter to the nut.
Just press the adapter with the nut on the planer, it has a tight fit by design. Press the hosecoupler on the hose, screw the 2 together and Wham bam! "Quick" connector upgrade achieved.
May fit other equipment, the adapter side is Ø30,5 innside diameter.
