I'm a guitar tech and I've been asked quite a few times if there was a budget friendly way to stop the G and D strings from binding in the nut on a Les Paul style guitar. Normally this is fixed by modifying the nut itself. Anyway I had a think and came up with a string tree design that corrects the break angle of the strings (similar to a string butler but less intrusive and easier to fit). Feel free to edit and share.
