What is this?
I designed this simple stacker for our ramekins in the kitchen. The ramekins do not stack nicely, so these helpers will allow you stack them more securely.
What makes this better than what I could find?
- Small pins at the bottom to prevent the stacker from sliding out from the stack
- Recessed area for the bottom of the ramekin to sit in. This reduces the extra height needed when stacking, and also prevents the ramekin from sliding off the stacker.
- This is a fully customizable design. Here are the parameters that drive it:
- TopInsideDiameter : Inside diameter of the top of the ramekin
- TopOutsideDiameter: outside diameter of the top of the ramekin
- BottomDiameter: What is the diameter of the bottom of the ramekin. (Assumed to be smaller than the TopOutsideDiameter
- Coaster Thickness: What is the thickness of the stacker helper
- WellDepth: How deep is the well in the top of the stacker helper that holds the top ramekin in place. Assumed to be smaller than the overall Thickness
- PinDiameter: How "thick" are the pins at the bottom of the stacker helper
- PinHeight: How tall are the pins
- Tolerance: Tolerance determines the extra slack on where the pins are printed. I use 3x tolerance for how much extra space to add to the overall diameter of the stacker helper, so it sticks out a bit.
Notes
When you print this, put it with the pins pointing up, and add support to handle the well.
