Garbage Bag Dispenser

A simple garbage bag dispenser designed to be mounted inside an IKEA kitchen cabinet using the existing holes and screws

Do you have your roll of garbage bags floating around somewhere inside the kitchen cabinet underneath the sink?

Print this garbage bag dispenser and install it using the holes (5 mm) and screws of the kitchen cabinet!

optional: 1 mm width for walls/perimeters and all other stuff

**Installation**
For IKEA kitchen cabinets it's really simple: Use 2 of the original screws and choose 2 of the existing holes.

For non-IKEA cabinets: Use the 2d printed part as a template for marking. Drill holes matching your screw size.

The installation of the screw at the bottom can be a bit fiddly. I used a magnetized screwdriver to get it in place.

IKEA Atlant Sink Plug Seal

Replacement Seal for IKEA Atlant sink plug/strainer

The original seal for my IKEA Atlant kitchen sink plug broke - it wouldn't stay open any more due to the corners of the little standoffs being rubbed off by years of usage. As there where only a few clunky 3d models available online i decided to design my own version that prints without support structures.

Printing
Red TPU with a high shore hardness was used to print the part you see in the pictures.

XYZ Calibration Test - Vase Mode

Quick 10 minute print - 0.3 m of filament

Don't waste your precious time and filament printing a so called “calibration cube”!

This quick print provides clues for all the important features and settings:

Extrusion width
E-steps / rotation distance (X, Y, Z)
Bridging
Cooling
Overhangs
Speed / accelleration
First layer / bed adhesion
Retraction (stringing test, seam test)
Preassure advance / linear advance

Disable “Ensure vertical shell thickness” (PrusaSlicer)

Some quick tipps:

_**Extrusion width**_
Check if the thickness of one of the outside walls at the top matches the setting in your silcer
**_E-steps / rotation distance (X, Y, Z)_**
If the outside dimensions are not 20 mm but way off, correct the settings for the affected axis
**_Bridging / cooling_**
If the bridging perimeters in the top center are drooping/sagging, check cooling an bridging settings in your slicer
45° overhangs
If the perimeters in this section are drooping/sagging, check the part cooling and cooling settings in your slicer
**_Speed / accelleration_**
ringing, bulged corners - you may want to reduce speed and/or accelleration (also see Preassure advance / linear advance)
**_First layer / bed adhesion_**
If there are problems with the print adhering to the bed, check if
- the bed is level and parallel to the x-axis
- the bed is clean - no dirt or grease
- the bed temperature is correct
If the print is wider at the bottom (first few layers) than at the top, check your z-offset and first layer settings
**_Retraction (stringing test)_**
If you experience stringing, check your retraction and cooling settings
**_Preassure advance / linear advance_**
If large seam gaps or bulged corners appear, consider tuning your printer firmware settings for preassure advance (Marlin) / linear advance (Klipper)

**Printing**
PLA/PLA+ works very well. This model should be printable without any support or brim. Four or more perimeters/walls may be needed - depends on layer height. I used 0.2 mm layer height for the print.

Use “Variable layer height” (Prusa Slicer) for a smoother finish.
