Working Create Mod Wrench

This is a working model of the wrench from the Create Mod! Check out the mod here: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/create

Build instructions attached MOST Parts can be printed with standard settings. I used a .4mm Nozzle and a .16mm layer height The screw and threaded gear should be printed at a .12mm layer height. This will allow the wrench to open and close smoothly

To assemble this model you will need: | ~.75KG of filament - Parts can be easily painted, or you can source each color individually (Links to what I used below) | Glue to attach the parts. I used a 2 part JB weld plastic bonder. I recommend a high strength adhesive, as the wrench is quite top heavy which may stress the joints Recommended: | 12" quick grip clamp or something similar. You may be ok just pushing the parts together, but clamping while the adhesive cures is recommended.

Filament used: Gold (G parts) https://us.store.bambulab.com/collections/bambu-lab-3d-printer-filament/products/pla-silk?variant=41126614368392 Red (R parts) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BKFNFTKG?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 Dark Brown (B parts) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BM52NN3H?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 Tan (T parts) https://us.store.bambulab.com/collections/bambu-lab-3d-printer-filament/products/pla-matte-filament?variant=40489682010248 Gray (G parts) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B2P265SZ?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

(A parts can be any color as they will not be visible in the final model)

Hello! is it possible you could share your print settings for the leadscrew? I keep printing it vertically but it just spins out near the top and i dont know how to get it to stop. (P.S. I used .12mm laver height as specified)

This is really well done and I just saw the video where you made this. The parts that you clamped together for the handle, would it be feasibly stronger if you had pegs that slotted into holes in the other parts before you used the adhesive? Just a thought I had while watching the video.

Can you make a polermetric one

Hey brownbear, did you ever get this figured out? I tried printing the lead screw last night and got the same issue when its stood up. My next thought is to maybe only do 50% but fear it'll have the same issue. If you lay it down on the bed it'll have supports all through the thread which is what I wanna avoid obviously. Any tips or tricks would be helpful!

I printed it on a 45 degree angle from vertical. It's a little rough where the supports attached but otherwise perfect.
