Allows you to mount your IKEA TERTIAL lamp to the top of your STUBBERGET monitor stand.

Printing

Given the length of the lamp this mount needs to withstand significant forces -- particularly the "hole" the lamp rests in. With that in mind:

• I suggest picking a filament that's durable, strong, and can withstand some flexing -- e.g. PETG, ASA, nylon, etc. (I printed mine in white ASA.)

• 50% infill at minimum.

• 3-5 wall loops, especially for the walls of the inner hole.

Installation

Pry the protective cap off the top of the STUBBERGET pipe. Press the mount into the pipe, it should be a snug fit with no play or rotation. The pipe may shave off a small amount of material from the outside of the mount, which is fine. However you should not need excessive force to make it fit. You may need to scale the model and make fine adjustments to the mount with sandpaper or a file.

Likewise, the TERTIAL lamp should rotate freely without "rocking".

Notes

The octagon cross section is intentional. Pipe is never truly round and making a true circle fit snugly inside one is next to impossible. The octagon allows some flex in the print and pipe, ensuring a snug fit.
