This holder stores a Mitutoyo Absolute Digimatic Series 500 caliper and a pair of SR44 batteries in a bare minimum of desk space. By sticking the caliper straight up, the contoured socket protects the jaws from damage and fits 6", 12", and all sizes.
This block has a high center of gravity, so I strongly recommend mounting it to a weighted baseplate using magnets or screws!
Gridfinity Tips!
- All storage blocks are compatible with all baseplates!
- Most storage blocks are stackable!
- You can add 6x2mm magnets to the corners! They won't magnetize the contents.
- You can also use M3 screws in the corners.
Gridfinity was inspired by Alexandre Chappel's ModuBOX system, which is found at https://www.alch.shop/shop/assortment

Just as a heads up - Metallic sharpies say to store tip down - They'll dry up/"clog" if stored tip up. (over time)
Strange. I have a Mitutoyo 500-197-30 Absolute Digimatic (CD-8" ASX) model and it is nowhere close to fitting into the printed part :(
The jaws are quite a bit "taller" (pointy bit to pointy bit is 90mm) than the slot. So I doubt it would fit a 12" set as stated in description, unless 6 and 12 are both older/smaller jaws and only 8" is larger?
The cutout is pretty close to fitting some cheap iGaging calipers from Harbor Freight though. Those are 6-in calipers with 76mm wide jaws...
I've got the same thing, did you end up finding some other solution?

Not a great fit for my 500-196-20. The jaws fit very snug and there is no recess for the in/mm button, so you always have to push it in and when lifting it out it takes the whole module with it. Close to greatness, but not quite there.
Thanks a ton for the model! Love the gridfinity system. I remixed this model to include a "bridging fix" for the magnet holes. I included an F3D source as well if you want to update yours to include the same fix. https://www.printables.com/model/464090-gridfinity-mitutoyo-caliper-holder-wbridging-fix
Thanks for a great model! Been using this for a month now, and just did a remix of it so that it would hold a fillet gauge and steel ruler: https://thangs.com/designer/emmett.pickerel/3d-model/Mitutoyo%20Holder%20remix-651999
