Abstract art #2
This is a base textile intended to be printed with a mesh of some kind to be used as art or with a negative modifier to create a plethora of objects. Use this as a STL modifier to enable a cool multi color pattern on a different 3D print (See reference videos and photos). There is a frame
There are multiple sizes that are premade in the accompanying 3MF, or you can download the STL files and use your own settings. There are two types, one that has a break in the middle and the other that is seamless. You can split the objects to parts and remove the outer frame if you'd like it as a textile with seam allowance. You can scale it up to as large as your printer can manage, just keep the overall height .72mm. I print these at .24mm layer height, with 3 layers for a total of .72mm. I print them at 35mm/s for the first layer, followed by 35-100mm/s depending on the type of mesh fabric I'm using and the amount of stretch that it has (the greater the stretch, the slower the speed).
You can use the cut tool to trim away any unwanted parts or scale it down to your desired size, just be mindful that if you make it too small there won't be enough room for movement between the pieces.
I've enjoyed using both illusion mesh and a superfine four way powermesh. The links for fabric I use are in the PDF that accompanies this file. You can also find a fabric sample pack or P-FLAT sheets at www.kaizen3dprints.com
