Hex Grid Fabric Modifier
If you're new to 3D printing on fabric, head here - https://than.gs/m/1064341 and then come back!
This set includes a base hexagonal grid textile that can be printed as is, or import the negative modifiers to your existing designs to create a 3D printed textile that is ready to be sewn into a finished product. You can also use this pattern as a color modifier in the objects tab (see included PDFS and video for reference). There are two sizes of hex grids - roughly 220mm x 220mm and 300mm x 300mm. There are two negative hex modifiers, each is roughly 300mm x 300mm but have different size hexagons. Import and scale them as needed for your project. Follow the PDF guides for more information, and please reach out to me via Kaizen3DPrints@gmail.com if you have any questions.
The photo example was a simple cloud SVG that was loaded into the slicer and affected by the negative modifier.
These textiles are printed at a .24mm layer height, for a total of 3 layers at .72 total height. There is a pause command that is added at the beginning of layer two, where mesh and magnets can be placed before the print is resumed. I print at a 35mm/s first layer speed when working with textiles. The 3mf file should have my settings, as well as pause commands (I use Bambu Studio).
