This tiny shield fits over the end of an ethernet cable to transform it temporarily into a thing that can be easily pulled through any obstacle course of cables and equipment. It prevents the small latch from catching on anything, so it won't break off in the process. And it also prevents the square back end of the connector from catching on things. It can't fall off while being pulled. The connector can fit in either orientation.

It prints easily without supports but I use a 4mm brim for stability. It prints fast: 14 minutes at 0.2 layer height. Works fine in PLA and probably works fine in any but the most flexible filaments like TPU. Typical cost of printing one in inexpensive filament is 3 cents.

I have broken so many of those little plastic tabs that hold ethernet cables in place. Without the tiny tab the cable is a nuisance. Yes, I've taped them in place. Yes, I've rebooted my computer because it came loose. Yes, I know better. Yes, I used some bad words I usually reserve for taxes and Fusion 360.

This is my revenge: anyone with a printer is 3 cents of filament and 14 minutes away from not breaking any more of them.
