Sculpted in Nomad Sculpt, this is the first model I've made from scratch that I'm uploading to the public.
3MF is included with recommended print settings for users using Bambu Studio. I have included 2 versions in this model:
- Caterpillar v1: Use this if you're using the Beta version of Bambu studio that allows for crosshatch infill and scarf seam settings.
- Caterpillar v2: Use this if you're using the public release version of Bambu Studio (no scarf seams and no crosshatch infill).
- Please tweak your support settings to suit your preferences and your own printing experience. For some reason, the 3MFs do not save support interface settings, and defaults to 2 layers all the time. I usually use 0 interface layers.
If you do not use the 3MF and use the STL instead, here are my recommended print settings:
Printing recommedations:
- Layer Height: 0.16mm
- Seam position: Back, seam gap 10%, or use the contour scarf seam settings
- Walls: 3
- Top Surface: 4 layers, concentric
- Bottom: 3 layers, monotonic
- Infill: 5% Gyroid (or CrossHatch)
- Infill wall overlap: 25%
- Supports: Organic Tree supports
- Support Brim: Yes, 5mm
- Top Z Distance: 0.25mm
- Support interface layers: 0
