Hello fellow enthusiasts!


My name is Matt and I have started ShapeMaven as a means to channel my passions for design and 3D printing. I create functional and aesthetic parts and tools specifically for 3D printing to solve problems and make life a little easier.

Design Overview

This headphone holder was designed to be minimally intrusive to desk space, friendly to desk surface and stylish to the desk-sitters. It is a great way to organize your office, home office or gaming zone.

There are **two **different styles of bolts on offer for whichever you prefer!


Features

🔹Moving platform between the bolt and the desk to prevent scratching the desk while tightening. 🔹Reinforced structure to enable tighter fastening without bending or warping the plastic. 🔹Gentle curved platform for headphones to rest nicely on. 🔹Gentle taper on top-of-desk side to minimize impedance of mount on desk space.


3D Printing Advice

🔸Tried and tested with PLA and PETG with good results. 🔸Recommend printing the main component on it's side with supports for the guide channel. 🔸Both bolts come with two different clearances: 1. 0.2mm offset on vertical thread face and 0.1mm offset on angled thread faces (top and bottom). 2. 0.2mm offset on vertical thread face and 0.2mm offset on angled thread faces (top and bottom). 🔸The bolt with clearance (1) worked well for my Flashforge Guider IIs with 0.4mm nozzle and 0.18mm layer height. Reasonably tuned.
