Toothbrush Travel Case

IMPORTANT NOTE: 3D printed stuff - including this case - is NOT food safe, as bacteria can and will stick in the tiny caveats of the print. Only use this temporarily. Use with dry toothbrush. Clean and disinfect the case regularly.

My family asked me to print them toothbrush travel cases as the local supermarket only had easily breakable plastic sh...tuff. So here it is, my first finished design, forged in Fusion 360!

There is a lower and and higher profile box version. The lower one should fit regular toothbrushes, the higher one will also house more robust children's toothbrushes.

The lid will snap shut sturdily, so watch your fingers! Please also refer to my post printing advice below.

NB: Should I manage to create a SCAD file of the lid, I will upload it so you can carve the names of yourself, your loved ones or your favourite obscenities into it.

Print Settings Printer: Artillery Sidewinder X2

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution: 0.2

Infill: 20%

Filament brand: TeqStone, Geeetech, Overture

Filament color: Copper Silk, Silver Silk, Blue Matte

Filament material: PLA

Notes: I recommend using a brim unless you are very sure of your bed adhesion.

The files are oriented in a way they can be printed.

PETG should also work.

I don't recommend using brittle filament on this design.

Post-Printing ASSEMBLY NOTE Once you have successfully printed the case, you will most probably need to open and close it a few times (5 to 20 worked for me) before you can put it to everyday travel use.

Start by carefully prying it back open at the ends with a small screw driver until you can use your finger nails.

How I Designed This This design is largely based on a truly insightful Fusion 360 tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWiGAs7CGgI&t=933s). Hone your German skills, peeps, this one was absolutely beginner friendly for me!
