Leaf Dragon - Fully Articulated Dragon
Introducing my very first, fully articulated dragon model, the Leaf Dragon by yours truly.
This is my very first multi-object, thirty-one link fully articulated flexi dragon. It has been a long process for me to learn, but the payoff has been worth it!
I decided to start simple, with a multi material compatible leaf-like ridge along the back of the dragon. I had to decimate this model quite a bit, because I was working with over 6 million polygons by the time I was done! Oops!
This dragon draws from so many sources of dragon-inspiration; I settled on a design that has two sets of articulating legs/ arms and bicep joints, for maximum flexibility. I'm not sure how much of a fan I am of the lizard type dragon, though, and will attempt both a Western and Eastern style dragon in the future.
The eyes have separate black / white objects for easy coloring.
I am starting by uploading the single STL file, which can be broken down into objects by orcasslicer or bambu slicer, and then the objects can be individually painted.
I recommend .16mm layer height, 3 walls and at least 15% infill, if not more to stiffen up those tiny little joints.
