Introducing the Dragon Controller Stand, the second majestic creature in the Creatures Series! Following in the footsteps of the Snake Controller Stand, this fiery guardian is here to add a legendary touch to your gaming setup.

🔥 A Stand That Bites (But in a Good Way!) This dragon isn’t just for show—it features a locking mechanism built right into its design! Simply place your controller in its jaws, and the nose will automatically lift to secure it in place. When you're ready to grab your controller, just pull the nose up to unlock it. No need to lift the nose when inserting the controller—just drop it in, and the dragon will do the rest!

🎨 Want a Two-Color Print? For those who want to recreate the dual-color version seen in the photos, the 3MF files are included in attachment! This allows for easy multi-color printing, giving your dragon an even more dynamic look. Individual STL files are also provided.

🎮 Tested Compatibility The Dragon Controller Stand has been tested with multiple controllers, including: ✅ PlayStation 5 ✅ Xbox Series X & S ✅ Xbox One ✅ Nintendo Switch Pro Controller ✅ Dreamcast Retro Fighters ✅ 8BitDo Controllers

It may also work with other controllers, but these are the ones we could personally test!

🖨️ Easy to Print – No Supports Needed! The dragon's horns come pre-supported, making this model completely support-free. It's printed in three parts:

  • Head (the main body)
  • Nose (which locks the controller in place)
  • Whiskers (which can be secured with a small drop of glue) 📌 Dual Display Options

Desktop Mode: Keep your dragon stand proudly on your desk or gaming station. Wall-Mount Mode: Save space and display your controller like a trophy! Just use 3M Command Strips (Size S) to securely mount it without damaging your wall. 📏 Dimensions of the strips: 2.12"x0.62" (in inches)

⚙️ Printing Settings (Recommended)

Layer Height: 0.2 mm Nozzle: 0.4 mm Walls: 2 Infill: 15% Cubic or 8% Hatch Minimum Build volume: 14.1 x 24.4 x 19.2 cm Support-Free, No Brim

🛠️ A Sculpting Adventure Designing this dragon was an absolute blast, and I can’t wait for you to add it to your collection! Stay tuned for the next creature in the series—it’s going to be wild!

What color will you print your dragon?🐉✨

This turned out great, I don't have ams so I printed mono color and painted the detail. Only suggestion is, it needs the screw holes like your other designs. Other than that it's such a sick build!
Made this in about 9 hours between 2 printers. I also made several Modifications to the original model. I broke it down into multiple parts, that way i could print it in color easier. I also made it so i could add in custom eyes. I think it turned out awesome. Thank you for the model!
Amazing file! And prints perfectly!
Mine turned out fantastic! Can I ask what command strips you used? The slots in the back of the print are too deep so the strips I have can't touch the wall.

The brand name is Command. It goes like “Command 3M stripes size S”

Thanks for replying. I figured out that you're referring to the Command Picture Hanging strips with the velcro. Those work perfectly but the regular command strips do not. Just a reference for anyone else wondering :)

Thanks you so much for the details, we will specify that in the future.

It is too big to be printed on a traditionnal bed sizes. This should be stated in the description.

Pierre-Henri P

Oh, you’re absolutely right! I just added the dimensions to the description. But hey, don’t worry, it’ll fit in all the most popular 3D printers in 2025, like the Prusa MK3/4, Anycubic Cobra S1, BambuLab A1, X1C, P1P, P1S, and Elegoo Centauri Carbon.

Wow, this looks incredible! The eyes add so much life to the dragon, it really makes the whole piece feel alive. Amazing work, and thanks a lot for sharing this with the community!

Totally love the design and it fits perfectly. Love the creature series and im building them one by one.

A side note if you want to pursue idea, my controller needs are almost complete with all these design. It would be awesome if you could tweak them a bit so they would serve as headphone mount. I do have a couple of headphone for gaming station and i think the design you do would be amazing. But all in all, loved the work.

Pierre-Henri P

Thank you so much for the kind words and for building up the Creature Series one by one, that really makes me happy to read! The idea of adapting them into headphone mounts is a super cool suggestion. You’re right, the way the creatures are posed at an angle makes it a bit tricky to integrate headphones smoothly, but it’s definitely something we’d love to explore in the future. After the Creature Series, there will be other collections where headphone integration might make even more sense.

The slot for the 3M tape is very deep, it doesn't stick to the wall here. You could make a version with a shallower slot for the tape. You could also make a slot for screws, 3M is not always reliable.

Pierre-Henri P
Holoprops

Hey! Thanks a lot for your feedback — it really helps me improve the designs for everyone.

Just to double-check, are you using the official Command 3M tapes like I mention in the description? I’ve had several creatures up on my own walls for over 8 months now using only those, and I’ve personally never had one fall off, even in rooms with temperature changes.

Pierre-Henri P
Holoprops

That being said, I completely agree with you: not everyone wants to rely on adhesive, and 3M isn’t always ideal depending on the wall texture or surface. I’ve actually been thinking of adding alternative mounting options, like shallow slots or even screw holes, for future versions — and your message is a great push in that direction.

Thanks again for sharing this! If you’ve got any other suggestions or want to share photos of your setup, I’d love to see them 😊

Hello Holoprops, I'm a member, but I'm unable to download the Dragon Controller Stand. I receive the message: "Download is not yet available, please try again later." This issue doesn’t occur with other models. Could you please check if the file is available for download?

Thank you in advance!

Thanks for letting us know. We’ve reuploaded everything, and hopefully, it’s fixed now. We also optimized the STL files and reduced their size considerably. We appreciate your patience and help flagging this issue. Cheers!

I’m curious about the other controllers you’re trying to fit in. I’ve tried with six different ones so far, and I’m eager to know if there are any that might be too big for the space.
