My take on a TronXY X5S, rail system. Some inspiration have been taken from others but everything have been redone and drawn up from scratch to fit my vision and "needs".

This kit can be used to redo the CoreXY system on a TronXY X5S (and other of the X5 series with some modifications). Or to build a completely new machine if that's what suits you.

To start of with the X-carrier, it's made without a hotend mount, but has several mounting holes and big venting holes to accommodate good air flow for the hotend / heat break cooler. 

The "Chain and rear belt mount" is made to work with the stock dragchain and have a couple cable management holes for those who want that. The back part serves as the belt mount since this system also swaps out two belts with one long so that the need for indevidual belt tensioning is removed.

The system has been designed to be used both with and without a 2020 extrusion on the X-axis, This boils down to that for the X5S who "only" have 488m total of X-axis, i've made some "Y-carrier to X-axis rail mount's" that will eliminate the 2020 extrusion for the X-axis (still plenty stiff!).

Both the Y-carriers and front belt idlers use 5mm dowel pins as axles for the belt idlers with the Y-carriers being designed to make the belt path's totally parallell at all nozzle positions. 

Included right of the bat is a mount for an Slice Engineering Mosquito hotend, 40mm hotend cooling fan mount and a BLTouch V3.1.

The X/Y stepper mounts is still being drawn along with extruder mounts that will move the extruders up above the bed and result in 25-30cm long bowden tubes. 

Until i've got everything "finished" this will be marked as WIP, although every thing posted have been tested and confirmed working.

Things to be addressed:

1: Making /finishing new X/Y stepper mounts.
2: Front idler mount finishing.
3: Part cooler redesign.
4: Complete parts / BOM list.
5: THC-01 mount with 40mm fan and BLTouch V3.1 mounts.

The stock X/Y stepper mounts WILL work until i get the ones for this kit done btw!

<h3>18 July 2020:</h3>

__Mosquito and 40mm fan mount v2__, added a couple M2.5 bolts on the lower part to give more clamping force. Need to print both the "Mosquito_mount_v2" and "Mosquito_40mm_fan_mount_v2" and add two more M2.5x25MM bolts to do this. 
I will leave "Mosquito_mount_v1.2" up since this still works with the stock 25x25x10mm fan.

<h3>4 April 2020:</h3>

__Endstops__, did a little rework on the left Y-carrier (v2.1) so that the X-axis endstop get's a dedicated area to hit up against. Also made a Y-axis endstop mount that bolts up on the inside of the 2020 extrusion. Both use the stock switches!

<h3>18 March 2020:</h3>

__X-carrier Top with bearing__, made an "swiveling" chain mount for the X-carrier so it's possible to shorten down the chain and reduce some drag. It uses one 625 bearing and a 10-15mm long M5 bolt.

__Y-Carrier Version 2__, done some tweeks to save weight etc. These will need support from the buildplate @ 50 degrees.

__Stepper mounts Version 3__, so i found out i had done a ever so slight typo in the V2.5 that moved the steppers 1,5mm towards the center in X direction as supposed to the 1,5mm outward like i intended. So now that's fixed!

__X & Y stepper mounts__ released after some "internal" testing and prototypes.These are designed to use MR85 bearings to try mitigate the stress on the steppers, but can be used without if you don't have or feel the need for them. Just mirror the part for use on the other side (supports needed!). __You will also have to change the direction/rotation of the X & Y steppers in your firmware!__

__Further rework on the part cooler(s)__, with one version for each of the two hotends( Mosquito & THC-01).

__Y-carrier to x-axis rail mounts__ will be released with two different "lengths" to accomidate a potential difference in width between the two y-axis 2020 extrusions, this is something you just have to either meassure and make up an opinion of what will work best for you. Or just test which of the length's that suit your printer best!


X5S MGN12H Linear X & Y-axis with modular hotend mount

Took it apon myself to make an Multi Material / 3in-1out adapter and this is what i churned out.

Designed to print easy and fast, the prototype's have turned out great and things seem to line up and turn out good.

Parts needed:
2x: M2,5 x 12mm bolts
3x: M2,5 x 14mm bolts (for 3in-1out top)
3x: M2,5 x 8mm bolts  (for single/flex top)

The THC-01 PTFE-collector "stem" needs to be cut down in length so it mates up nicely with the top of the Mosquito's heat sink.

If you want to use it for single material just unscrew the 3in-1out top, pull out the PTFE-collector and screw on the single/flex top, and vise versa.

I haven't gotten my Mosquito yet, aka. i haven't got the opportunity to run it atm!

Mosquito Hotend - Multi Material / 3in-1out adapter

Fast easy and adjustable LED lighting for 3D printers (or other stuff).

It's using some cheap COB leds that gets sold prebuild, with lenses. 
Just some quick and easy disassembely needed of the LED kits from AliExpress and then just put it together with the printed parts.

The short and long mounts are 3mm shorter/longer than each other.

EDIT:
After printing and test fitting the boxes i found that the devider could be a little higher so that it's harder for the parts in the two compartments to flip over in the wrong side. Made a quick adjustment and uploaded it as it's own thing ( I also added the pins/feet from the original to make things more convenient).

NOTE!: I've done a print now and i ran into a little problem. The way thing's currently am (i haven't got time to fix it atm) you will have to do a little postprocessing on the axle shaft because it's just a smudge to tight linearly. At the spring end of the axle just cut away the little ledge (1mm ish) twards the spool to leave a little extra length so that the bearings don't pinch. Once that's done assemble an check, you might have to sand down a little on the spring to!


Figured why not have a Multi Material spool holder for the Spannerhands Spool system (even though it's hidden most of the time).

I borked something so instead of doing "Center and Arrange Models" in S3D you have to do "Align Selected Model Origins" to make the two parts line up. How it works in other slicers i have no idea. Other than that it should be all good.

A extruder mount i slapped together for my X5S, it's made to work with the stock drag chain mounting height. This moves the extruders in almost to the bed center and wil result in a bowden length of somthing close to 320mm,,-

It's also got mounting locations for a filament sensor for those who use that, and an .STEP of the filament sensor mount blank so you can make your own (the green part in the picture). I will upload the ones i make as time goes.

__PTFE & Wire clips__, some handy clips to aid the PTFE tube and wires down the mount.. After printing the clips heat the "legs" a little bit with a lighter at the base and spread them so that they grip better inside the holes of the extruder mount.

__Version 2.3__, a slight rework that makes a little less bulky around the stepper mount and some tweeks that should make it a little easier to print. Also added some visual elements to make it more pleasing to look at.

X5S Extruder mount

Needed a T-slot mountable Auto Rewind spool holder so i made this puppy.

You need two M8 nylon locking nuts, and a M8 threaded rod cut to 130-135mm length.

Use the "round" spring from the Auto Rewind spool system.

Print it with a decent amount of top/buttom layers, walls and infill!

22.05.2019 v2:

After printing and fitting i saw there was room for some improvements, these are implemented in v2, and should now mate up a little better with the spring.

PSU shroud for Thermaltake Core cabinets, the ones already avalible didn't work for my use since they interfered with the ATX connectors on my Corsair RM1000i PSU.

Designed with enough room to accomidate for most modular PSU connectors and i've made some "reinforcements" in the buttom to avoid the sides flexing/warping outwards.

Also made a built in support to save some support material and reduce print timeg. Slice with support threshold of 50 degrees and you should be good! 

One "universal" version with a sloted hole for mounting, and one with a fixed mounting hole for Corsair RM1000i (and others of same length) psu's.

Haven't  gotten around printing one myself yet so it's marked as WIP until that's done!

Re-drilling fixture to make a new bolt pattern on a 5.0L Mustang crankshaft pulley when doing a serpentine drivebelt conversion for an Oldsmobile V8.

Use a 8.5mm drillbit to drill the final holes and to mark up the hole centers thru the fixture!

A little trashcan to screw on to the bed mount for the TronXY X5 series, distance from square stock up to the buttom of the your bed must be 14mm for this to fit!

Since the BLTouch V3 have a new recommended distance from the nozzle-tip/printbed of 9.4mm I designed a new height gauge/adjustment tool to help those of us getting the probe setup just right.

Need to be printed in either 0.1mm, 0.2mm (recommended) or 0.4mm layer height to get the right height. I also recommend 4-5 top layers so that it's "solid" where it counts and it dont wrinkle up.

Double check height after print to ensure your good to go! 
(Antclabs "allow" +/- 0.3mm. so anything between 9.1mm and 9.7mm will do)

Remixed to fit with the bed lowering system (using 8mm bolts to attach) and with a enlarged center hole to facilitate the use of anti-backlash nuts on the Z-screw. No disassembly needed.
