I remixed samlego2 case for a slightly slimmer profile.
You will need 7 x 5mm countersunk M3 screws.

Your printer has to be well tuned, as tolerances are very tight
 I suppose scaling could be used if the case turns out too tight for you.

_Small improvements:_ the buttons only fit in the right order and will maintain their orientation.

The backplate is a blank meant to be customized.

My take on Misan's drawing machine. I made one with a grbl controller and a CNC shield and adapted Misan's parts to be 3D printed.

Please read Misan's instructions as well.

The drawing machine is a small three axis robot that controls a pen or any drawing implement over a canvas. It is a complete open source design and aims to teach the basics of robotics.

Budget for one is about 80$. You will need a 3D printer.

The Z stage does not use a servo, as in Misan's machine, but rather one of those cheap 28BYJ stepper motors you can find for 1.50$ on eBay.

NOTE: The photos are of the current prototype, some of the modifications to the various bits and pieces have not yet been tested.

I was not happy with [the official Wanhao clip](http://wanhaousa.com/pages/attaching-the-filament-stand-to-the-top-of-the-printer) that keeps getting looser and looser as you use it, and I did not want to drill holes in the gantry, so I designed my own.

It is a very tight fit, it has to be. I iterated the design a few times to make it work exactly right with my printer, which is a 1st gen Wanhao i3 Duplicator, but you may have to modify it to fit yours. The model is on Tinkercad. Edit it [here](https://www.tinkercad.com/things/332S0wRft66)

Wanhao i3 Duplicator Spool Holder Clip

Print "cat_box.stl".

Meanwhile, measure the inside of a shelf compartment, remove about 10mm on each measure: width, depth and height.

With wire (e.g. recycled wire hangers), cut 4 x height, 2 x width and 2 x depth.

Using cardboard (or any other similar material cats like to sleep on), make a bottom plate (width x depth). 

Once the print is done, you should have 8 corners: 4 bottom clips and 4 top connectors.

Push the wire in the clips and the connectors as depicted in the other stl (not to be printed, it is just a model of how everything fits together).

Cover with an old t-shirt. Secure with safety pins or paper clips.
Let him enjoy...

(No cat was harmed in the making of this box. Fingers, however, were. Cats are extremely territorial...)

Ikea Kallax Insert for Cats

The usual octopi installation. The raspi is discreetly affixed to the left side of the frame, cables hanging down, power comes from behind. The camera protrudes a bit over the printer head and captures your fabulous prints.

It fits a Raspberry Pi 2 or 3. Can't say for the other models.

A solder dispensing pen. Wrap some solder around a pencil, drop the coil of solder in the tube, thread it through the cap, and solder away! If your shirts have a front pocket, that's where the clip comes handy.

_Depending on your version of the Duplicator, the stock screws (M3 x 40) might end up being too short and you might have to change them for longer screws. I believe it depends on where they source the fan. Everything fits just fine on my first generation Duplicator with the stock fan and the stock screws.

Wanhao i3 Duplicator Extruder Fan Grill

You know those two little bits of tubing that keep falling and roll under the printer *every time* you unscrew the extruder open? 

*Gone.*

To help with the holes on the fan grill, there is a small plastic stop in each hole that helps with bridging. Once printed, pop them out with a 3mm screw, pushing from the inside.
