This is a remix of albrnick`s clever wall mount for the Dyson Vacuum Cleaner.
In this remix I have:
1.Completely redesigned in Fusion with an articulated node design to provide greater flexibility in positioning accessories and reducing the need for Left\Right Hand and offset variations with the same repeat components.. All connections nodes now rotate independently to provide better positioning of accessories.
2.Designed a much more robust and flexible retention clip part. The clip is printed on its side to maximise the printed layer orientation. The retention clip is a push \interference fit into the connector node (make sure assembly is bolted together before inserting clip).
3.Generally increased wall thicknesses and overall strength of components.
Assembly:
1.You will require 4 M6 bolts - 2 x 30 mm & 2 x 40 mm and 4 M6 Nylok nuts with washers. I used hex head bolts for ease of assembly but the design allows for full size bolt heads. 2.The parts do not require support but all except the clip use bridging to span faces. I have therefore included a 0.8mm layer to the top of each bolt hole to allow the bridge to be printed straight across the fixing hole. This 0.8mm of material will need to be drilled out or trimmed with a scalpel prior to assembly.
Printing:
1.The components are quite robust so multi perimeters are not absolutely essential.I printed the prototypes in PLA with a 25% infill and 3 perimeters. 2.All parts can be printed without support but the Connection Collar may require a raft for stability depending on build surface (all my prototype parts were printed successfully without any rafts). 2.Printed at 0.2 resolution on a Ender 5 & CR10S. 3.The Retention clip was printed in PLA but even greater flexing may be achieved with PETG.
